Attention Andalusian/Lusitano Exhibitors!
Andalusian Functionality Test Required for Stallions 5 Years and Older Competing in Halter Classes
New for 2013 any stallion five years of age and older that competes in an Andalusian/Lusitano Halter class also must be shown in an under saddle functionality phase.
This requirement only applies to Purebred Andalusian classes for stallions 5 and older. Any Amateur to Handle restricted class is also excluded from the requirement.
To be eligible for Horse of the Year points, a show must hold a separate halter class for Purebred Andalusian stallions five years of age and older. This class will have a halter phase and a functionality phase. The results of each phase will be entered on the score sheet available http://www.ialha.org/?page_id=323. Only this final calculation should be used for awards and reported in the results to USEF. Awards will not be given for the separate halter and functionality phases.
Please see AL105 for the complete rule regarding functionality testing. The score sheet for stallion halter classes including the functionality phase is available on the IALHA website, Forms and Downloads, Show Forms http://www.ialha.org/?page_id=323. If you have questions, please contact Terra Schroeder at firstname.lastname@example.org or 859-225-6952.
